This is Ryan's current little hobby. He would get us to draw something (he doesn't like his own drawing), then he'd colour it, cut it, then paste it onto another paper.
The picture itself depends on what he likes at the moment. That one is the zeppelin airship from Pixar's UP :)
We took Ryan to the Botanic Gardens few weeks back. We just realized then that it was the first time we took him there, so it had been longer for us too.
I actually wanted to go to the zoo, but my wife taught she couldn't handle such long trip with her big belly :).
We didn't spend too much time there since there wasn't a lot of things to see there, and the weather wasn't good either. It was quite a nice outing though, seeing all those greeneries instead of the usual shopping malls. And I think the boy liked it there too :)

We have been expecting our second child for a few months now. Baby is due early June next month.
So a few months back we planned on redecorating Ryan's bedroom to make it more like a boy's room. But alas, because our parents are superstitious, we are not allowed to move any furniture during my wife's pregnancy, so we can't do much to the room. Don't ask me why. It's just bad luck according to Chinese beliefs.
Though we don't believe in those things, since the parents do, we just relented.
Despite all that, there is one thing we managed to do, that is putting a wallpaper on one side of the wall of his room. It really looks nice, though I still ache when I think of the $700 cost :D

So, we finally bought an iPad for Ryan. We had been planning to get one since few months back, but didn't feel like getting the original version since the new one was coming. So last week it finally arrived here in Singapore and I queued for 2 hours to get this iPad 2.
The plan was to just install educational apps and books inside it so Ryan can spend his time better than watching TV, but I think that plan is not going very well as he's not that interested in reading :)) Once I put some of his favorite movies and a few games in it, he's been using it for those :))
